Legal information
Terms of use
These terms apply to the start.business website and its business registration service in Israel. By using the site or signing up, you accept them, so please read them before you register.
1. The service
start.business is an online service for opening a business in Israel: Osek Patur, Osek Zair, Osek Murshe or a company.
You fill in a questionnaire, upload documents and pay on the site. Our accountant reviews the application and files it with the authorities: the Israel Tax Authority (VAT and income tax), Bituach Leumi and, for a company, also the Registrar of Companies.
Once the authorities register the business, its number and the documents received appear in your account.
2. Sign-up and account
- The service is for people aged 18 and over who are legally able to enter into a contract.
- Provide accurate, complete and current details, and update them if they change.
- Your password and sign-in codes are personal. Do not share them. Any action in your account is treated as your own.
- If you suspect someone else is using your account, contact us right away.
3. Your application and documents
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your details and the validity of the documents you upload.
- The accountant may ask for an extra document or for a replacement of one that is unreadable or unsuitable. The reason will appear in your account.
- We may ask you to sign forms or a power of attorney needed to represent you before the authorities.
- The authorities decide whether to register the business. We do not guarantee the outcome or how long the authorities will take. Processing times shown on the site are estimates.
4. Prices and payment
- The price of registration and of extra services is shown on the payment page before you pay, together with VAT.
- Payment is a one-time card payment through the Sumit payment provider. Your card number goes directly to Sumit and is not stored by us.
- The receipt is sent to your email.
- There is no subscription or monthly charge on this site. Monthly accounting support and an invoicing system are provided by separate services on their own terms.
5. Cancelling a transaction
You may cancel the transaction under the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, and its regulations.
Send your cancellation request to our email with your application number (SB and a number). Refunds follow the law, minus a cancellation fee where the law allows one.
6. Information on the site
The tips, the business type quiz and other content on the site are general information only. They are not personal professional, legal or tax advice. Before a major decision, consult an accountant.
